Donald Lawrence is a multi talented gospel artist. He started out as music director for R & B artist Stephanie Mills. It was there he met another producer arranger Kevin Bond. The two learned that there was a choir in The Carolinas called The Tri-City Singers that needed a new musical director and they took on those duties. Lawrence & Bond started their own label called Crystal Rose Records but signed The Tri-City Singers to EMI Gospel. They had several successful records and Lawrence also became known for producing other artists especially Karen Clark Sheard. Lawrence left The Tri-City Singers and EMI Gospel in 2004 and now records for Verity. Finale is the final Tri-City Singers concert. EMI Gospel has released two seperate CDs, a 2CD set and a DVD. This video of Blessing Of Abraham is from the DVD. It's a very typical performance from this great choir.
