AccuRadio Song Of The Day-David Lee Murphy

Artist:David Lee Murphy f/Kenny Chesney

Song:Everything's Gonna Be Alright

Album:No Zip Code

After success as a recording artist in the 90s, David Lee Murphy concentrated on songwriting. The 2018 number one country hit Everything's Gonna Be Alright is his successful return to recording. Murphy recorded three albums for MCA in the 90s with producer Tony Brown. He had a total of four top ten country hits including the 1995 number one country hit Dust on the Bottle. After leaving MCA in 1997, Murphy wrote hit songs for Aaron Tippin and Trick Pony. Then he signed with Koch's Audium label for the 2004 album Tryin' To Get There. The single Loco reached #5 on the Country Singles chart. After Koch closed their Nashville office, Murphy returned to songwriting with Kenny Chesney's 2006 number one country hit Living in Fast Forward. Murphy also wrote hits for Gary Allan, Van Zant, Blake Shelton, Keith Anderson, Jason Aldean's number one hit Big Green Tractor and plenty of others. Chesney convinced Murphy that he should record again. Murphy signed with Chesney's Blue Chair label with Reviver Records distribution. The 2018 album No Zip Code was produced by Chesney and his long time producer Buddy Cannon. Everything's Gonna Be Alright featuring Chesney on vocals reached #9 on the Country Singles chart. Murphy wrote the song with former Shenandoah lead singer Jimmy Yeary and CCM producer Chris Stevens. Murphy wrote all the songs on the album. Murphy plans to celebrate his 25th anniversary on tour and then record a new album. And he thought he was through as a recording artist. Here's David Lee Murphy featuring Kenny Chesney performing Everything's Gonna Be Alright at the Flora-Bama club in Florida and No Shoes Radio.
