Here's the match video of Jinh Yu Frey vs Gloria de Paula from last night's UFC show in Las Vegas. This fight is at Strawweight. Jinh is a former Invicta Atomweight champ who lost her first two UFC fights. She has enlisted Sayif Saud of Fortis MMA in Houston to break her of some of her bad habits. Gloria is the girlfriend of Mayra Bueno Silva. They train at Chute Boxe in Sao Paulo, Brazil with Diego Lima. They have similar flaws. Jinh won round one by maintaining top position. Gloria attempted submissions from the bottom but she needed to get out of there and she didn't. Gloria was a lot better in round two. So it's tied going into round three. Saud gave Jinh a pep talk between rounds and that seemed to work. I scored the fight 29-28 for Jinh and so did all three judges. Saud has more work to do with Jinh but at least she won. Gloria needs to work on her takedown defense. She will win fights on her feet. Enjoy the video.
