Here's the match video of Asuka vs Peyton Royce from last night's episode of RAW. First of all, the WWE's decision to split up The Iiconics was dumb. A couple of weeks ago on RAW Talk, Peyton complained that she isn't being used and she wants a match with Asuka to show what she can do. Of course Asuka will make Peyton look much better than she is. Peyton is an OK but not great wrestler which is why she was better off in a team with her high school pal Billie Kay. I would describe the match as a semi competitive squash because at no time did I think Peyton could win. Some will complain that Asuka gave her too much offense but Asuka wants her to look good. She won't do squash matches. So it went as expected and Asuka wson with the Asuka Lock. Then Rhea Ripley made her RAW debut and challenged Asuka to a title match at Wrestlemania. Charlotte Flair was supposed to wrestle Asuka at Wrestlemania but she tested polsitive for COVID-19. It should be a great match. You know Asuka. She will want to steal the show. She's had her eye on Rhea for a couple of years. I am sure she is really excited about this match. I'm not sure Rhea would get this match if Charlotte was healthy. Enjoy the video!
I miss the Iconics, Peyton remains my favorite from the tag team duo & I agree that splitting up Iconics was a stupid move on WWE's part & would like to see Peyton & Billie reunited as Iconics...They were annoying, but at the same time alot of fun to watch and remain one of my favorite tag teams of the women's division.
