Gospel singer Lisa Page Brooks is probably best remembered as a member of the 80s gospel girl group Witness. She has recorded solo since 1997 and the 2009 single I Want To Say Thank You topped the gospel chart. She was born Nov. 23, 1962 in Detroit. Her father Charles Warren Harris was a member of the Motown group The Monitors. Lisa and her sister Leah performed locally as Voices of Eden. Former Commissioned member Michael Brooks started the gospel girl group Witness in 1986. He wrote and produced everything. Witness was very successful until Lisa left to go solo in 1997. By then she had been married to Michael Brooks and their daughter is singer Tasha Page-Lockhart. Their son Justin Brooks also helps out. Lisa has recorded four albums while she and Michael run the Restoration Fellowship Church in Detroit. I Want To Say Thank You is from Lisa's 2009 album Strong. The single topped the gospel chart. Lisa's music is a mix of contemporary and traditional gospel leaning more traditional as Lisa has gotten older. This comp is a good intro to her music. It is available as a digital download.
