Here's the match video of Io Shirai vs Charlotte Flair vs Rhea Ripley from last night's NXT Takeover show. As I said a couple of weeks ago, this is a good way to get the belt off of Charlotte without her taking the fall. This match was like Where's Waldo. On a couple of key occasions, I'm wondering Where's Io?. And then she comes flying out of the sky. One time Charlotte tosses Io through the In Your House set. She figures that gets rid of her. While Charlotte and Rhea brawl, suddenly we see Io emerge at the top of the set and she hits them with a cross body. It was a spectacular effect like her leaping from the Korakuen Hall balcony. The finish was like that too. While Io is on the floor, Charlotte applies the figure eight on Rhea. Suddenly Io does her top rope moonsault for the finish. The streamers in the ring afterwards was a nice touch. I thought it was a great match and it's well worth seeing. There was a report a few days ago that Io will move up to the main roster probably to reunite The Sky Pirates with Kairi Sane. We'll see what happens.
