Song:Fishin' for Somethin'
Album:Rachele Lynae
Country singer Rachele Lynae had modest success with her 2014 album Rachele Lynae. She has just released a new album on her own label. I think she needs to be on a major label. But she may not be distinctive enough to get anywhere. She was born Jan. 7, 1988 in Yuba City, CA but she grew up in Kodiak, AK where her father is a commercial fisherman. Her sister Heather Cole is also a singer. She grew up singing in church. When Rachele decided to pursue a music career, she moved to Nashville and attended Belmont University. While performing in clubs, She released a 2012 EP that got the attention of Aussie country music star Jamie O'Neal and her father Jimmy Murphy. They were starting a new label and Rachele was their first signee. Rachele released her debut album in 2014. She co-wrote all the songs and Jamie produced the album. She sounds OK but I don't think she is anything special. The album didn't sell and Jamie's label closed. Since then Rachele has continued to perform. She just released her new album Every Reason a couple of weeks ago. It looks like it's on her own label. Obviously it is too soon to tell if the album will be a success. I'm skeptical because she is trying to do this herself. Pursuing songwriting might be a better road for Rachele. Here's the video for Fishin' for Somethin' by Rachele Lynae.
