It's pretty clear that First On Stage had no idea what they were getting into when they decided to get into the joshi business. Part of the problem is that Pro Wrestling SUN only has four wrestlers on the roster. Also, FOS only runs a SUN show every few weeks. This means they have to keep the girls busy between shows. ZERO SUN NEXUS was supposed to do that. It was supposed to be a way to keep the SUN girls and younger ZERO-ONE MAX wrestlers busy on out of town shows. But it appears they've stopped running those shows. There haven't been any in 2007. So FOS farms out the girls and use them on ZERO-ONE MAX shows. But they only have four girls. Doesn't it get stale seeing them all the time?
SO FOS has to figure out different ways to use them. So ZERO-ONE MAX held a press conference yesterday to announce upcoming Golden Week shows. Shinjiro Otani was announcing the card for the May 6 Differ Ariake show when Saki Maemura interrupted the press conference and pleaded for a singles match with Steve Corino. This has been going on since Corino took some cheap shots at Maemura during her match with Alison Corino on last July's Nanae Takahashi 10th Anniversary show. When a mixed tag was announced for the SUN debut, Maemura demanded a singles match with Corino. Nanae Takahashi told her to calm down. Maemura continued to press for a match after Corino conspired with Maemura's tag team partner to win the WDB Mixed Tag Team titles. Takahashi finally agreed to it and in turn FOS has agreed to it as well. So it will be Saki Maemura vs Steve Corino on the May 6 Differ Ariake ZERO-SUN MAX show. This type of match is very unusual in the puroresu business. Who knows what goofy stuff these guys will do with this.
