Carl Edwards wins Nashville Busch Series race

With the Nextel Cup boys off for Easter, the NASCAR Busch Series was in Nashville Saturday for the Pepsi 300. That means there were less Buschwackers than usual so maybe the Busch Series teams have a chance to win a race. Except points leader Carl Edwards is there. Never mind. The winner gets a Gibson guitar. That's one of those cool trophies the drivers can sometimes get. David Stremme won the pole.

David Stremme's #41 Wrigley's Spearmint Dodge leads the first 20 laps and then David Reutimann's #99 Aaron's Toyota takes over. Stremme drops back and Scott Wimmer's #29 Holiday Inn Chevy takes the lead on lap 51. Green flag pit stops cycle through by lap 71. Jason Leffler's #38 Great Clips Toyota takes the lead on lap 80. Reutimann regains the lead on lap 82 followed by Dave Blaney's #10 Fans First Toyota. Blaney spins on lap 86 to bring out the first caution.

Everyone pits. David Reutimann is sent to the back of the field when he leaves the pit with the catch can attached. That gives the lead to Todd Kleuver's #16 3M Ford with Shane Huffman's #88 US Navy Chevy second. Huffman leads on lap 99 with Kleuver second and Carl Edwards' #60 Dish Network Ford third. Edwards takes the lead on lap 119. Johnny Sauter's #37 Cub Cadet Ford hits the wall to bring out a caution on lap 128. Most of the leaders pit but Jason Leffler & Stephen Leicht's #90 Citi Financial Ford pitted earlier and stay out for track position.

Carl Edwards takes the lead on lap 145. A lap 182 debris caution sets up final pit stops. Edwards has had loose lug nuts twice so the crew takes a little longer on the pit stop to be sure. Jason Leffler leads with Kleuver second and Edwards third. Edwards gets the lead back on lap 202 and holds on easily for the win. The Toyotas of Leffler, Reutimann & Blaney follow. Carl Edwards still leads the points. The Nextel Cup & Busch Series boys are in Texas next week. They're having audio problems on NASCAR's website so no video this week.
