Sendai Girls ace and chief trainer Meiko Satomura made her first public appearance on Oct. 16 since Azumi Hyuga's knee fractured her eye socket at the recent Sendai Girls show. She's walking around with a patch on her right eye. The operation was done with an endoscope. She told Nikkan Sports that she will be out for the rest of the year for sure and could be out as long as six months. I guess that depends on how the injury heals. Apparently the injury was pretty bad. Satomura was supposed to appear at the Sendai City mayor's Pink Ribbon Smile Walk for breast cancer on Oct. 13. She was unable to go but she did send the other girls. She did appear at an Oct. 16 meet & greet in Sendai Station for the Ministry Of Public Management, Home Affairs, Posts & Telecommunications and did interviews with the various media outlets. She was apparently minister for the day. She says she has quite a bit of pain in her eye right now. Satomura says it looks like the youngsters will have to carry the company right now. I guess we'll see how that affects attendance as Satomura is obviously the main draw of Sendai Girls. Let's all wish Meiko Satomura a speedy recovery.
