Maemura stripped of title, Tracy Taylor new champ?

Once again Chick Fights SUN president Nakamura has used the guise of an AWA decision to advance some suspect booking. It's not the first time. Remember when Nanae Takahashi won the AWA World Womens Championship in Los Angeles and was stripped of the title the next day? At least it was only vacant. This time Saki Maemura has been stripped of the title and it may be awarded to Tracy Taylor. This goes back to Maemura's Oct. 13 Hawaii Championship Wrestling match against Taylor. Taylor won a "Loser Clean Toilets" match and of course there was a picture on the HCW website of Maemura cleaning toilets (pictured). The AWA has decided that the public posting of this picture is a big problem for the AWA and some on the AWA board of directors feel that the sight of the AWA champ cleaning toilets makes the AWA dirty. I dunno. That kind of logic seems very Japanese to me. And of course making this decision two weeks later is awfully silly. So the result of the AWA board of directors vote will be announced on Nov. 9. If the title is awarded to Tracy Taylor, she'll return to Japan in Dec. If the title is vacant, they can give it to the winner of the Chick Fight J tournament. Either way, outside the ring title changes devalue the belt and this silliness is a repeat offense. It makes Nakamura look ridiculous.
