Here's the match video of Asuka vs Bayley from last night's episode of RAW. Last week Asuka demanded a rematch with Sasha Banks for the RAW Women's Championship. Sasha told her if she could beat Bayley, Asuka would get her rematch at SummerSlam. Bayley was not happy about this and she still wasn't happy when she came out last night. Bayley has done the same thing to Sasha. The WWE has been teasing a split for months. The match starts out slow probably because Asuka and Bayley knew a commercial break was coming. But it really picked up after the break. Asuka took a beating and she sold it as always. Bayley got her in an ankle lock and Asuka sold that too. But Bayley couldn't put her away and Asuka came back with her own offense. So Bayley was in control. And then she mocked Kairi Sane. Asuka turned a flying armbar into the Asuka Lock. And that was it. Asuka gets her title shot. The lesson to be learned by Bayley and Sasha is don't mock Kairi as it will piss off Asuka. BTW, I don't expect them to learn that lesson. On this Friday's Smackdown, a three brand battle royal will determine a challenger for Bayley's Smackdown Women's Championship. The promo for this showed that Asuka is in this match. What if she wins? Could Asuka work two matches at SummerSlam? Of course she could. She's a workhorse. And she could win both matches. And she'll steal the show. We could also see a three way for both titles. You might think that would give the edge to Bayley and Sasha as they could gang up on Asuka. But would Bayley allow Sasha to win both titles and vice versa? That could lead to conflict between them and Asuka could take advantage of that. I'm surprised Asuka is in that match. It has already been taped. I don't know what will happen. Until then, enjoy the video as the match is really good.
