Morgan Wallen was a contestant on The Voice in 2014. He scored three hit singles from his 2018 debut album If I Know Me including Chasin' You. He has a new album coming out soon. He was born May 13, 1993 in Sneedville, TN which is near Knoxville. His father is a preacher so Wallen grew up singing in church. He played baseball in high school. He was a good enough pitcher to get scholarship offers. But he injured his elbow in his senior year. So he turned to music. Wallen appeared on the 2014 season of The Voice. He was eliminated during the playoffs. But he started working with Sergio Sanchez of the group Atom Smash who got him a deal with Panacea Records. A 2015 EP got Wallen a new manager who got him a deal with the much larger Big Loud label. His 2018 debut album If I Know Me was produced by Big Loud co-owner Joey Moi who also produces Florida Georgia Line. There were three hit singles from the album. Chasin' You reached #2 on the Country Singles chart. It reached #16 on the Billboard Hot 100. Wallen wrote the song with Big Loud co-owner and veteran songwriter Craig Wiseman and Jamie Moore who normally works with CCM artists like Toby Mac. Florida Georgia Line appeared on the single Up Down and Wallen opened for them on their 2019 tour. Wallen appeared on the Dec. 3, 2018 episode of WWE Raw. Wallen co-wrote three songs on his debut album. The single More Than My Hometown was released June 2020. So he has a new album coming. There is no title or release date yet. Wallen says he had a lot more creative input on this album. He is still working with Moi. It appears the album has been delayed by the pandemic. Here's the video for Chasin' You by Morgan Wallen.
