Uncle Acid is a British neo psychedelic band with heavy metal overtones. The unusual thing about this band is the visual imagery is deliberately controversial. They have built a following by appearing at European music festivals. This band is also known as Uncle Acid & the Deadbeats. The band is from Cambridge, England led by Kevin Starrs who uses the moniker Uncle Acid. He's the lead singer, lead guitarist and he writes all the songs. He also tries to look like Charles Manson. Uncle Acid was formed in 2010 and Starrs is the only original member. So I guess it's a one man band and the rest of the band is disposable. The first couple of Uncle Acid albums were self released. Then he signed with the indie label Rise Above owned by Lee Dorman of the death metal band Cathedral. So that's when Uncle Acid started touring and Starrs turned it into a band. Melody Lane is from the 2015 album The Night Creeper. And if you watch the video, it's obvious that he is aiming this at a particular audience that enjoys exploitation films. Beware to the easily offended. There's nothing unusual about Uncle Acid's music. They sound like other neo psychedelic bands. This is why Uncle Acid tours so much. Radio stations would never play the music. And the videos are for mature audiences only. They released a new album last year and just finished a North American tour.
