Singer songwriter Brandon Lake started out as a member of the Praise & Worship (P&W) group Bethel Music. He also recorded solo for Bethel. After leaving Bethel for the 2023 album Coat of Many Colors, the single Praise you Anywhere topped the Christian charts. Plus he has toured with another hot P&W artist Phil Wickham. So Lake seems to be going places. He was born June 21, 1990 and he grew up in Myrtle Beach, SC where his father was a pastor. Lake learned to play guitar via You Tube. He accompanied the worship team at his church and later was hired by Seacoast Church in Charleston where he is now worship leader. Lake self released the 2016 album Closer after raising money via GoFundMe. He signed with Bethel Music in 2019. Lake was featured on Bethel Music albums and tours and he also recorded solo. Of course the problem with that is listeners don't know the difference. So it's hard for Lake to build his own identity. And that's why in 2023, Lake signed with Provident and released the album Coat of Many Colors. He also toured with Phil Wickham. Praise You Anywhere topped the Christian charts. Lake wrote and produced Coat of Many Colors with Jacob Sooter and Hank Bentley. Sooter has worked with Elevation Worship. Bentley has worked with David Crowder. The album was very successful and so was his tour. And he released a live album. Lake released a single in November which means he is working on a new album.
