Ashlee Evans-Smith to replace Holly Holm on Dec. 6 UFC show

Ashlee Evans-Smith
Last week Holly Holm's manager Lenny Fresquez announced that a neck injury forced Holly to pull out of her Dec. 6 UFC debut against Raquel Pennington. Ashlee Evans-Smith has been confirmed as Raquel's new opponent. Ashlee announced it on Twitter. Ashlee is best known for beating Fallon Fox in the finals of that CFA tournament last year. For all the uproar about Fox being transgender, somebody around here predicted that Ashlee would win that fight. Oh, that was me. Fallon can only beat tomato cans. I knew she would lose to a decent fighter. Ashlee has a wrestling background and has been friends with Carla Esparza for years. Ashlee tried out for The Ultimate Fighter 18 but didn't make it. I think she is better than some of the fighters who were on that show. Last time we saw Ashlee was on the prelims of the June 21 WSOF show beating Marciea Allen. For some reason, Ashlee tried to outbox a boxer for the first two rounds. Once Ashlee took her down in the third, she finished her. I presume she asked the WSOF for her release when this opportunity came up. Were they ever going to use her again? Ashlee is undefeated at 3-0. And despite Raquel's 4-4 record, I think this is a step up in competition for Ashlee. This show will be at Mandalay Bay in Las Vegas. This match was supposed to be on the main card of UFC 181 but I think it will be dropped to the prelims.
