Waves was a worldwide hit in 2014 especially on the dance charts. The song was written and sung by Dennis "Mr. Probz" Stehr and a Robin Schulz remix was the hit version and he put it on his debut album. Stehr only released his original as a single. Schulz was born Apr. 28, 1987 in Osnabruck, Germany. He started DJing at age 17 and then he owned his own club. He started releasing remixes to Youtube. Stehr was born May 15, 1984 in Zoetermeer, Netherlands. He got into music through graffiti culture and rap. Stehr had local success with his 2013 album Treatment. He released Waves in 2013. It did OK but Schulz' uptempo remix topped the European charts and reached #14 on the Billboard Hot 100. The only difference between the two versions is the tempo. But the Schulz remix is the one to get on his 2014 debut album Prayer. Schulz has had a couple more hits in Europe and he has released two more albums. But because he's mainly a remix guy, chart success can be hit and miss. It's the same story for Stehr. Since Waves, he has released a few singles but nothing notable.
