Here's the match video of Gillian Robertson vs Sarah Frota from last night's UFC show in Edmonton. Gillian is a submission specialist. Sarah is a Brazilian who lost to Livinha Souza at Strawweight. She also missed weight. This fight was at Flyweight. So while you watch this fight, Joe Rogan's commentary is a little strange. In round one, Gillian took it to the ground. The way Rogan described it, Sarah came close to several submissions from bottom position. I thought there was a triangle choke that could have worked. But I thought Sarah spent too much energy on pointless submissions. And she pooped herself out and Gillian turned things around by the end of the round. An elbow busted Sarah open. Gillian controlled Sarah in round two. I suppose she could have gone for a submission. But instead she took advantage of the earlier damage and pounded Sarah until the ref stopped the fight. I would like to see Gillian fight better competition. Enjoy the video!
