Artist:Captain Hollywood Project
Song:More & More
Album:Dance Mix USA Vol. 2

The German duo Captain Hollywood Project were very successful in Europe. The 1992 single More & More was a top twenty hit in the US. The guy behind Captain Hollywood Project was Tony Dawson-Harrison of Newark, NJ. When he wasn't a US Army Captain stationed in Germany, he was breakdancing in his uniform. This got him the nickname Captain Hollywood. He started appearing on the TV music video show Formel Eins. When his military duty ended in 1983, he became choreographer of this show. He also did live shows, choreography for acts touring Germany and he even opened his own dance school. In 1989, he started the group Twenty 4 Seven with Dutch producer Ruud van Rijen. After some European chart success, Dawson-Harrison left to start Captain Hollywood Project. More & More featuring singer Nina Gerhart was the first single. Dawson-Harrison is the rapper. It was a huge hit in Europe. Then it spread to dance floors worldwide and reached #17 on the Billboard Hot 100. Dawson-Harrison wrote and produced the song with veteran producer Nosie Katzmann. Captain Hollywood Project continued to have success in Europe. More & More was their only hit in the US. You can get it on this various artists budget comp. After three albums, Dawson-Harrison ended Captain Hollywood Project and moved to Florida. He got involved with notorious boy band mogul Lou Pearlman and the reality series Making The Band. He was responsible for the development of the group O-Town and he worked with other groups. Dawson-Harrison revived Captain Hollywood Project in 2008 with his wife Shirin von Gehlin. She worked as a dancer on German TV. They release the occasional single and tour Europe. And they still work as choreographers. Here's the video for More & More by Captain Hollywood Project.
