Here's the match video of Cris Cyborg vs Felicia Spencer from last night's UFC show in Edmonton. Felicia's best chance to win this fight was to take Cyborg down and get on top of her. But she was never able to do that and she doesn't strike well enough to get into a striking contest. The best thing I can say about Felicia is she didn't fold and lasted three rounds. And that will probably help her in the future. But the real story is that Cris Cyborg is leaving the UFC for Bellator. Dana White doesn't think she will sign a long term contract. So he said this week that he is willing to let her have a rematch with Amanda Nunes and then she can leave. He's doing this for Amanda. We don't know yet if Cris will do that. I think it's 50/50. Meanwhile White says he doesn't blame Cris for not wanting that rematch. He's just trying to get her goat. So what's the real story? Cris said last night that she wants White to respect her. Actually, he does respect her as a fighter. But he knows he can get under her skin. And she has a bad habit of wearing her emotions on her sleeve. If her reason for not resigning with the UFC is "Dana White hurt my feelings", she needs to give her head a shake. Of course it's also possible she wants too much money. And White hasn't been involved in those negotiations. She also believes that Bellator's Featherweight division is better the UFC's which isn't true. Both divisions are bad. And like Gegard Moussasi and Lorenz Larkin, she prefers Scott Coker to Dana White. And that last thing is what this is really about. So yeah, it comes down to hurt feelings.
