Big Bad Blog Video Theater-Shayna Baszler vs Kairi Sane

Here's the match video of Shayna Baszler vs Kairi Sane from this week's episode of NXT. This is Kairi's final NXT Women's Championship shot. Since we already know that Kairi appeared on this week's Smackdown, this is a blowoff match that will set up Shayna's next program with Io Shirai. As expected, the match is very competitive. All their matches have been the same. Shayna thinks she can bully cute little Kairi. But Kairi is much tougher than Shayna thinks. The end comes when Kairi misses a flying elbow outside the ring and seems to injure her elbow. The ref calls a trainer out to see if the match should be stopped. Shayna drags Kairi into the ring to torture her. Kairi sells this like she is being murdered. But Shayna can't finish her. Kairi keeps kicking out of pins. Finally Io Shirai comes to the ring to protect Kairi and Shayna wins by DQ. Then Jessamyn Duke and Marina Shafir pull Io out of the ring and force her to watch Shayna's torture of Kairi. They go off the air with a closeup of Io. So it's obvious where they are going with this. Afterwards the Full Sail crowd gave Kairi a standing ovation as a farewell to NXT. If you watched this week's Smackdown then you know that Kairi is fine. She just did a fantastic selling job. Now we get to see her each week on Smackdown teaming with Asuka and we all know what they can do. We just got a small taste this week. So I'm stoked. This match is worth watching so enjoy the video!
