Song:Every Storm (Runs Out Of Rain)
Album:Set You Free
Country singer Gary Allan had success in the 90s and looked to be fading in the mid-00s. But he roared back in 2013 with Every Storm (Runs Out Of Rain) and it's one of his biggest hits. He was born Gary Alan Herzberg Dec. 5, 1967 in La Miranda, CA. He played in his father's band as a teen was offered a record deal by A & M Records. But his parents wanted him to finish high school first. After graduating Allan continued to play local clubs until he met producer Byron Hill in 1993. Hill tried to get him a deal with BNA/RCA but they were going through changes at the time. In 1995 Allan moved to Nashville to record a new demo and this led to a deal with Decca/MCA. Hill and Decca house producer Mark Wright produced Allan's first three albums. Her Man, It Would Be You and Right Where I Need To Be were all top ten country hits. But he finally topped the charts when Tony Brown was brought in to produce the 2001 album Alright Guy. Man To Man, Tough Little Boys and Nothing On But The Radio all topped the country charts. After Allan's wife Angela committed suicide in 2004, he went on hiatus. When he returned with the 2007 album Living Hard, it didn't do as well. Allan reversed the slide with the 2013 album Set You Free. Every Storm (Runs Out Of Rain) was his first number one country hit since 2004. Allan produced most of the album with veteran recording engineer Greg Droman. And he wrote Every Storm with frequent songwriting partner Matt Warren and Hilary Lindsey. Lindsey has written hits for Carrie Underwood among others and that's her singing backup vocals on the record. The girl in the video is model Ashley Speegle. He's currently on tour. Allan's sound is heavily influenced by the Bakersfield sound of Buck Owens and fans of that should check him out. Here's the video for Every Storm (Runs Out Of Rain) by Gary Allan.
