Women MMA fighters made their very first appearance on a GCM Demolition show at the Aug. 19 Differ Ariake show. GCM closed their womens fed Cross Section last year. It was veteran fighter Naoko Ohmuro vs the undefeated Fukuko Hamada. The weight class was 46kg. The match was scheduled for two five minute rounds and it was regular MMA rules.
Fukuko Hamada leads with a kick but Naoko Ohmuro takes her down. After a break, Ohmuro lands a punch and then pounds Hamada on the ground. Ohmuro mounts her. Hamada tries to resist but Ohmuro is clearly in control when the first round ends. Ohmuro nails Hamada again at the start of round two. Hamada is swelling around the eyes and the doctor checks her out. They exchange blows at the restart but then Ohmuro takes Hamada down, mounts her and hooks an armbar to win the match at 2:18 of round two. It's Hamada's first loss she's 4-1. Ohmuro is now 8-5-1.
