Smackgirl has announced a couple more matches for their Sept. 6 Korakuen Hall show. Of course the main event will have Yuka Tsuji against Brazilian Anna Michele Tavares who is the only fighter to defeat Tsuji. There will also be the finals of the 2007 Next Cinderella tournaments and the final for the Killer Queen grappling tournament. There willalso be two title matches. Hitomi Akano will defend her Smackgirl Middlewight Title against Takayo Hashi and Yoko Takahashi will defend her Smackgirl Open Weight Title against HIROKO.
Smackgirl announced a while back that Fuuka will appear on this show. Of course pro wrestling fans are familiar with Fuuka from her days in the now defunct JD Star. She is currently launching her own wrestling promotion Fuukamats. Her MMA record is 0-1. Her opponent is Emi Fujino. Fujino is 5-0. Her last win was over Anna Saito at the May 27 K-Grace show. Also added to this show is Korean Seo Hui Han. She is the fighter that upset Hisae Watanabe in Feb. Her opponent is veteran fighter Masako Yoshida. Also, a couple of fans asked me if the fighter Emi Tomimatsu appearing in the final of the Lightweight Next Cinderella tournament is the former JD Star wrestler. Yes, it is her. She started with G-Shooto last Oct. and her MMA record is 2-2. Smackgirl also announced that they are taking applications for their annual grappling tournament. That will be on Sept. 24 at Kitazawa Town Hall. The accompanying pic of Fuuka is from an autograph session she did today.
