A few years ago, Tye Tribbett had no idea that he would become one of the hottest performers in gospel music. He grew up in Camden, NJ and his mom was music director at the local church. Dad played organ. He first surfaced performing a song on the soundtrack of the 1997 film Prince Of Egypt. Tribbett then settled into the background playing piano and touring with stars. He toured with country star Faith Hill in 2000. The story goes that Tribbett was playing piano for Vivian Green on a showcase for Sony Music. Then Sony president Don Ienner signed Green but he also wanted to know about the piano player. Tye Tribbett signed with Sony and his debut CD life was released in 2004. He became known for his energetic stage show and he's a great composer too. His latest CD & DVD Victory is even bigger.
