Let's forget that Maycee made adjustments in round two and won by TKO. And also she had just started at Roufusport in Milwaukee. She did what Duke Roufus told her to do and what will she be like after a full camp at Roufusport. Gillian's main hope to win this fight was to take Maycee down. Her submission skills are very slick. So when Gillian failed to take Maycee down in round one, I figured it wouldn't take long for Maycee to catch up to her. And sure enough, Maycee hammered Gillian until the ref stopped it. That should move Maycee up the rankings. Maycee has been calling out Paige VanZant. Paige has one fight left on her contract. She claims she makes more money from Instagram than fighting. Her husband Austin Vanderford fights for Bellator so I expect her to go there. She's more celebrity than fighter anyway and with the way the UFC's ESPN deal is structured, they don't need her to draw casual fans. Obviously Maycee wants to teach her a lesson. But I doubt Paige will agree to fight her. Besides, a win over Paige will only feed Maycee's ego. If she wants to get to the title, Maycee should face the winner of Jessica Eye vs Viviane Araujo.
