Raphael Marinho of Combate reported this morning that Sijara Eubanks vs Bethe Correia has been added to UFC on ESPN+ 17 Sept. 21 at Arena Ciudad de Mexico in Mexico City. Bethe confirmed the fight on Instagram. This fight will be at Bantamweight. Sijara made the TUF 26 final for Flyweights. But she couldn't make weight. So now she's fighting at Bantamweight. I just don't think she is a UFC caliber fighter at Bantamweight. Of course neither is Bethe. But once upon a time she fought Ronda Rousey for the title. She's been awful since then. And she had a two year layoff for a couple of eye surgeries. When she returned in May, Bethe lost to Irene Aldana when she ineptly stumbled into an armbar submission. She should probably retire. But instead the UFC is going to use her to prop up a fighter who wouldn't be in the UFC if she hadn't tried to make it as a Flyweight first. So I don't care who wins. One fighter is awful. And the other is a fraud.
Welcome to Frank Pozen's Big Bad Blog. A lot of folks have been asking me to update them about my recovery. So I thought I would start a blog primarily to do that but also to talk about other topics of interest including the wrestling business and whatever else I can think of. I plan to update this on a regular basis so check back and leave a comment if you wish.
