Here's the match video of Julia Avila vs Pannie Kianzad from last night's UFC show in Las Vegas. All the fighters who live in Vegas and the UFC had to bring in Pannie from Europe on short notice. That makes no sense. Julia is making her UFC debut but I liked her in Invicta. Julia won easily. I thought she could have finished in round two and again in round three. But she said afterwards that she didn't want a TKO finish. She wanted to win by submission. Julia has potential but she needs to learn to take the finishes as they come. Sometimes fighters outsmart themselves when they do stuff like that. In her real life, Julia is a geologist. During Thursday's earthquake, she was giving out tips. She's not the first.
