Raphael Marinho of Combate reported today that Angela Hill vs Istela Nunes has been added to UFC on ESPN+ 17 Sept. 21 at Arena Ciudad de Mexico in Mexico City. This fight will be at Strawweight. Angela is 33 years old. She trains at Alliance in San Diego. She is 3-5 on her second stint in the UFC. I don't think she is any better now that her first time around. She's still a kickboxer with no power and she has no ground skills. She has personality in her favor but she needs to win fights. For her last fight, Angela replaced her teammate Jessica Penne on short notice but she still lost. Istela is 27 years old. She trains at PRVT so she is a teammate of Jessica Andrade. Her record is 7-1-1NC. Unlike many of the Brazilian fighters, she has international experience. She went 2-1 in ONE Championship with wins over VV Mei and Gina Iniong and a loss to Angela Lee. The win over Gina was Aug. 2018 and that's the last time she fought. Those three fighters are probably better than Angela Hill. So it looks like a tough fight for Angela and she really needs a win.
