Here's the fight video of Bruna Brasil vs Molly McCann from last night's UFC show in Manchester, England. This fight is at Strawweight. Bruna is 30 years old from Parana, Brazil. She is one of the coaches at Insanis MMA 013. She got into the UFC via Contenders Series and was in the LFA before that. Her UFC record is 1-2. Molly is 34 years old from Liverpool, England. She trains at Next Generation MMA. Paddy Pimblett is a teammate. She recently dropped from Flyweight to Strawweight. She's 7-5 in the UFC. She's a terrible fighter but is loved in England. Molly was the prohibitive favorite. It did not go well for her. Bruna really hurt Molly with knees to the body in round one to the point that Bruna won the round 10-8. But all three judges scored it 10-9. There was a lot of online whining about this. But it's well known that judges do not value body damage as much as head damage. But in this case, Bruna's body work won her the fight. Molly never really recovered and I scored the fight 30-26 for Bruna. Two of the three judges scored the fight 30-27 for Bruna and the third gave Molly round two and scored it 29-28 for Bruna. The UFC uses European judges on European shows and they aren't as good as Las Vegas judges. My only quibble is Bruna could have finished the fight and she chose not to do it. Enjoy the video!
