The 2022 single Tomorrow 2 was a top ten hit for rapper Gloria "GloRilla" Woods. She has yet to record a full length album so who knows if she has staying power. She was born July 28, 1999 in Memphis. She grew up singing in church. But she lost her voice so decided to try rapping. She released a mixtape in 2019 followed by the self released EP P Status in 2020. When the 2022 single F.N.F. (Let's Go) went viral on TikTok and was certified Gold, that led to a record deal with rapper Yo Gotti's CMG label with Interscope distribution. Tomorrow 2 was released in September and it reached #9 on the Billboard Hot 100. Then the EP Anyway, Life's Great... was released in November. Tomorrow 2 was produced by Macaroni Toni. Gloria mostly works with producers she knows from Memphis. Anyway, Life's Great.. is available as a digital download. This Bonus Edition has four extra tracks. Even then, it's less than forty minutes long. There is only one song longer than three minutes. The whole recording looks like it was rushed to strike while the iron is hot. So it remains to be seen if Gloria can sustain that success. Meanwhile she has released a couple of singles and she won a BET Hip Hop Award for Best New Artist.
