Gospel music fans are going to want to check out this 2014 album by three of the famed Winans brothers. There are so many Winans in gospel music it's hard to keep track of them all. 3 Winans Brothers are twin brothers Marvin and Carvin Winans and younger brother BeBe Winans. Marvin and Carvin were part of The Winans with brothers Ronald and Michael. The Winans were very successful in the 80s and 90s. Marvin Winans is one of the greatest voices in gospel music. He has recorded solo occasionally but these days he mostly is pastor at Perfecting Church in Detroit. I don't know if Carvin Winans ever sang lead on a Winans song. He's mostly a background singer though he did release a solo CD last year. Of course BeBe Winans is best known for his duo with sister CeCe Winans. And he has had success as a solo artist, songwriter and producer. The formation of 3 Winans Brothers appears to be a tribute to their late brother Ronald Winans who died in 2005. The 2014 album Foreign Land is on BMG. If God Be For Us was the first single. BeBe Winans wrote the song and all three guys sing a verse. Hezekiah Walker & Love Fellowship are on backup vocals. The producer is Daniel Weatherspoon. He produced BeBe Winans' 2012 album America America and he produces plenty of gospel artists. The other producer on this album is Rodney "Darkchild" Jerkins. This deluxe edition of Foreign Land includes bonus tracks featuring The Clark Sisters and Karen Clark Sheard. This album is a must for gospel music fans. I don't know if 3 Winans Brothers will record a second album. As I said, Carvin released his debut solo album last year. And as I also said, Marvin mostly runs his church though he did appear on Carvin's album. BeBe Winans released his latest album Need You last year.
