Freestyle singer Judy Torres had brief success on the dance charts in the late 80s. the 1989 single Come Into My Arms was her biggest hit. She was born June 13, 1968 in The Bronx, NY. She was performing at a Gong Show when one of the judges George Vascones approached her about becoming her manager. He brought her to Micmac Records owner Mickey Garcia. And Garcia and Elvin Molina took Judy into the recording studio. Judy's first single No Reason To Cry did well enough on the dance charts to get her a deal with Profile Records. The album Love Story was released in 1989. Come Into My Arms was the first single. It reached #16 on the Billboard Dance chart. When there were no hit singles from her 1992 album My Soul, Profile dropped her. This comp covers her two Profile albums. These are the original versions. Since then Judy has released occasional singles some of which have done well on the dance charts. She also performs regularly in New York clubs. She also did a one woman show in 2018.
