New tag team champs in JWP

JWP's Oct. 12 Shinjuku FACE show featured two title matches and a major angle development. Generally title changes are saved for Korakuen Hall shows so maybe Bolshoi is setting up something else. The opener had Hiren vs Pinkie Mayuca. The match is what one would expect from young wrestlers who are still learning. And Hiren was the Sendai version as opposed to the OZ version. Hiren controlled the first part of the match with a camel clutch. Then she threw Pinkie around. Pinkie came back with a Boston crab and a camel clutch followed by an arm bar. Hiren gets her own Boston crab and nails Pinkie with a high kick. Hiren is whipped into the ropes and Pinkie hits a dropkick. They exchange near fall rollup pins and Hiren hits a missile dropkick. Hiren hooks her ankle lock and Pinkie gets to the ropes. Hiren stomps her ankle. Pinkie rolls her up for two. She rolls her up again but Hiren turns it into an ankle lock and Pinkie submits at 10:31.

Next we have Devil Masami & Hanako Kobayashi vs Kaori Yoneyama & Ayako Sato. Nothing much to it as Devil wins over Sato with the Fire Valley at 13:28. The first title match is next with Arisa Nakajima defending her JWP Junior & POP Titles against Ryo Mizunami. They start out tentatively exchanging leg holds. Nakajima gets a rear chinlock followed by a scarf muffler. Nakajima bodyslams Mizunami and whips her into the ropes. Mizunami comes off the ropes with a cross body for two. Nakajima kicks Mizunami out of the ring and then splashes her from the top rope. Back in the ring, Nakajima goes to the top corner but Mizunami meets her there. They struggle and the end result is Mizunami gets a two count. They exchange blows and Mizunami hits a power slam. Mizunami goes to the top corner but Nakajima cuts her off. Mizunami hits a power slam for two. Nakajima gets the win and retains her titles with a diving foot stamp at 15:08.

Sonoko Kato defeats Kei'to with the Crowns Gate at 11:24. Next we have a match that will advance a major angle. It's Yumiko Hotta, Azumi Hyuga & KAZUKI vs Commando Bolshoi, Tojuki Leon & Megumi Yabushita. Of course Hotta and Hyuga are buddies now and WANTED is aligning with Hotta. Sachie Abe is at ringside and she is very loyal to Hotta. The match starts outside the ring but when things get back under control in the ring, Hotta has a camel clutch on Leon and tags Hyuga. Bolshoi hits KAZUKI with a hip attack. Yabushita tags in and KAZUKI attacks and tags Hyuga. Hyuga kicks Yabushita in the corner followed by a high knee. Bolshoi comes in and they double team Hyuga. KAZUKI tags in and Yabushita gets a flying armbar. KAZUKI hits a power slam from the top corner followed by a knee lift for a two count. Bolshoi tags in and goes back and forth but KAZUKI hits a backdrop suplex and tags Hotta. Yabushita hooks an armbar over the top rope. That has to be broken and Leon get Hotta in an armbar. Hyuga breaks that up. They go outside and Leon dives onto Hyuga. Back inside, Leon tries the armbar again on Hotta. Hotta gets to the ropes and lifts Leon for a Hyuga top rope lariat. Leon hits a brainbuster for two. Hyuga bodyslams Leon. Hotta takes out Bolshoi outside the ring and Hyuga hits a diving knee to the back of the head for the win at 18:26. Afterwards, Arisa Nakajima comes out. You may recall that she started out in A To Z when Hotta owned it and Sachie Abe brought her to JWP when A To Z closed. Nakajima says that Abe's loyalty to Hotta is ridiculous. She's like an abused woman who constantly returns to the one who abused her. Things get heated and Hotta stares down Nakajima. The battle lines are drawn.

The main event has Kayoko Haruyama & Tsubasa Kuragaki defending their JWP & Daily Sports Tag Team Titles against Toshie Uematsu & Ran YuYu. Certainly a title change is possible as Haruyama also has the JWP Open Weight Title and Kuragaki is probably the top contender. Bolshoi painted herself into a corner. Haruyama & Kuragaki double team Ran in the ropes. Haruyama gets her in a figure four leglock. Ran gets to the ropes and tags Uematsu. Uematsu gives Haruyama a face wash in the corner and tags Ran. Ran gets her in a camel clutch and tags Uematsu. Uematsu continues the camel clutch and Ran comes off the ropes with a kick to the face. Haruyama comes back and takes Uematsu to her corner for double team kicks. Kuragaki tags in and Uematsu comes off the ropes with a cross body for two. Uematsu & Ran hit a double elbow drop on Kuragaki for two. Kuragaki gets Ran in the Argentinian backbreaker. Uematsu comes in but Kuragaki nails them with a double lariat. Then she piles them in the corner and splashes them. Haruyama & Kuragaki hit a double team neckbreaker drop on Uematsu. Haruyama gets Uematsu in an inverted body vise and then a dragon sleeper. Kuragaki & Ran tag in. Kuragaki goes to the top corner. Ran cuts her off but Haruyama tosses Ran over the top rope to the floor. Ran comes in and hits a high kick on Haruyama. Kuragaki cuts off Uematsu while Haruyama hits Ran with a top rope guillotine leg drop for two. Ran goes to the top corner. Haruyama cuts her off while Kuragaki places Uematsu behind Ran and picks them both up in an Argentinian backbreaker. Kuragaki hits a backdrop suplex on Ran for two. Uematsu breaks it up and drops Ran on Kuragaki for two. Ran hits a suplex for two. Kuragaki comes back with a lariat and the a power bomb for two. The two bump heads and Ran hits a backdrop suplex but Haruyama breaks up the pin. The end comes when Kuragaki misses a lariat. Ran hits a lariat and wins with the Fire Valley at 21:24. Toshie Uematsu & Ran YuYu are the new JWP & Daily Sports Tag Team Champions and a particularly big win for Ran. We'll see how long they hold onto the belts.
