Welcome to Frank Pozen's Big Bad Blog. A lot of folks have been asking me to update them about my recovery. So I thought I would start a blog primarily to do that but also to talk about other topics of interest including the wrestling business and whatever else I can think of. I plan to update this on a regular basis so check back and leave a comment if you wish.

Match added to JEWELS show
JEWELS announced today one more match has been added to the Nov. 16 debut at Shinjuku FACE. The match is for 48kg and is scheduled for two five minute rounds between Sumie Yamada and Kikuyo Ishikawa (pictured). Yamada trains at Y-Park. Her MMA record is 0-2 and her most recent fight was a loss to Kazumi Kaneko at the Aug. 5, 2004 Smackgirl show. Hisae Watanabe KOd her in her other match. Yamada is currently a kickboxer in the J-GIRLS kickboxing company. Ishikawa is a former soldier who won an amateur Pancrase tournament in Okinawa. She trains at REAL and this will be her much anticipated pro MMA debut. Her size makes her of great interest to Japanese promoters due to the lack of competition at the lighter weight class. It looks like JEWELS is trying to set up a future opponent for DEEP Flyweight Champ Satoko Shinashi. They have also added three amateur matches to open the show.
