Fuuka's shoot boxing debut

A few months ago, Nikkan Sports reported that Fuuka was considering leaving joshi puroresu for shoot boxing. Recent events have fueled this particular rumour. One of the problems with anything about Fuuka is she lies about everything these days. It's gotten to a point that reporters in Japan just laugh at her when she tells them anything. Is she a liar? Well, I don't think she means to lie but fans have to remember that former ARSION owner Hiroshi Ogawa is the man behind Fuuka Matsuri. He IS a liar and he'll do anything to keep his meal ticket going. She's just doing what he tells her to do. The big news at the recent Fuuka Matsuri show was that Fuuka lost to Mariko Yoshida in the main event. Considering the way Yumiko Hotta was treated a few months ago, it's a little surprising. But I suppose Ogawa decided that forcing Yoshida to job to Fuuka was too much to ask. Along with the singing, dancing and other foolishness, Fuuka had a shoot boxing exhibition against Misato Tomita. Nothing much happened. It was a draw but Fuuka announced plans to make her pro shoot boxing debut shortly. I guess she's burned her bridges in MMA though I'm sure Emi Fujino would like to get her hands on Fuuka.

So now I have complete details about Fuuka's shoot boxing debut as her opponent was announced today. And I even have a video of Fuuka's visit to Nikkan Sports to promote the show. I know fans will enjoy that as Fuuka looks pretty good in that pink outfit. And she kicks some poor guy in the pants. The Shoot Boxing World Tournament S-Cup show will be Nov. 24 at the Saitama Super Arena. There will be two women's matches on the show. DEEP Lightweight Champ MIKU will face Lena. MIKU will have her next MMA match on a December DEEP show. Fuuka will make her professional shoot boxing debut and her opponent is...drum roll...Mai Ichii. Say what? Yup, that's the same Mai Ichii who announced a couple of months ago her departure from joshi puroresu to become an MMA fighter. She appeared on a FUTADOR grappling show last weekend but this will be her shoot boxing debut too. Of course it's odd that they would choose a pro wrestler as Fuuka's opponent. It raises suspicions that something fishy is going on. And Fuuka has won over Ichii in wrestling. Fuuka says she's been training very hard for a long time and she hasn't trained this hard to lose. So will Fuuka quit joshi and become a shoot boxer? I expect we'll know by the time her fifth anniversary show comes around in March. Nothing will surprise me. Enjoy the video.
