Charity Gayle is a worship leader who occasionally releases albums on her own label. She says she is trying to bridge the gap between worship and gospel music. I don't think her music does that. But she has won Dove awards and the P&W faithful love her music. Charity is from Buffalo. She grew up watching her mom direct the church choir. And as a teen, she did the same thing. She became a worship pastor and music ministry leader. In 2012, she was named GMA Immerse Vocalist of the Year. Charity moved to Nashville in 2014 where she wrote for People&Songs. Then she started releasing her own music. After Charity was the featured artist at the 2017 North American Youth Congress in Indianapolis, she released her 2018 debut album Lord You Are My Song on the People&Songs label. Since then, Charity has started her own house of worship GatherHouse with her husband Ryan Kennedy. I Believe is from the 2024 album Rejoice on Blue Duck Records. The album was recorded live at The Mulehouse in Columbia, TN. Charity wrote and produced with husband Ryan Kennedy. The lead musician is Kyle Lee on keyboards.
