Here's the match video of Valentina Shevchenko defending her UFC Flyweight Championship against Jessica Andrade from last night's UFC show in Jacksonville. Normally Valentina uses her kickboxing skills early in fights. In the late rounds she will resort to takedowns and lay and pray to win the fight. For this fight she decided to take it to the ground to slow Jessica down and this led to a second round TKO. Valentina scored five takedowns in round one. It wore Jessica down so she couldn't do anything. So in round two Valentina got the crucifix position and then pounded Jessica until the ref stopped it. Jessica admitted afterwards that she didn't expect those takedowns. By the end of round one, she was so worn out, she couldn't do anything. Valentina said afterwards that she wants a third fight with Amanda Nunes. She knows that isn't happening in the near future. The possible next challenger will come from the upcoming Joanne Calderwood vs Lauren Murphy and Katlyn Chookagian vs Viviane Araujo fights. Viviane is probably the best of those four. But she's undersized for a Flyweight. Enjoy the video!
