Here's the match video of Rhea Ripley defending her RAW Women's Championship against Asuka from last night's episode of RAW. Before this match, Charlotte Flair returned and cut a lengthy heel promo about not being on Wrestlemania. As I think most fans know, Charlotte had COVID-19. She recovered but the WWE chose not to have her on Wrestlemania so she could whine about it afterwards. Obviously she was going to inject herself into the title picture. The match was OK. Rhea messed up three times on a move where she hoists Asuka on her shoulders and drops her on her face. Even when she actually did the move, she messed it up. I wonder how nervous Rhea is under all that bravado and taunting. After trying a DDT to the floor that didn't go well. I think Rhea may have stumbled. The move was executed much better on Sunday. They waited for Charlotte to show up. And she laid both of them out. So obviously this will lead to a three way match at Backlash. Of course Charlotte's return was expected. But her promo was way too long and it's not like they have to try to make her a heel. Fans think she's privileged because of her dad. She is hated regardless. Enjoy the video!
