Here's the match video of Michelle Waterson vs Karolina Kowalkiewicz from last night's UFC show in Philadelphia. Whoever wins this fight gets closer to a Strawweight title shot. I expected the fight to be competitive but not compelling. And light sparring is what we got in round one. I thought Michelle was marginally more effective so I scored the round 10-9 for Michelle. Michelle got what she needed in round two as she got a takedown halfway through the round. She didn't come close to a finish. But the idea was to put the fear of a takedown in Karolina's mind so she thinks twice about doing anything. It worked. Michelle won the fight 30-27. So does she get a title shot. I dunno. Tatiana Suarez and Weili Zhang may have something to say about that. This was a big win for Michelle. Enjoy the video!
