Tauren Wells was the lead singer of the Contemporary Christian (CCM) group Royal Tailor. He has had success since going solo in 2015. He has pop crossover potential. He was born Apr. 7, 1986 in Battle Creek, MI. He formed Royal Tailor in 2009 with DJ Cox and Blake Hubbard while all three were attending Indiana Bible College. After two moderately successful albums, Wells left to go solo in 2015. He signed with Reunion Records and he released an EP in 2016. His debut album Hills and Valleys was released in 2017. The album was produced by Jordan Sapp who has produced Austin Mahone and Demi Lovato among others. They wrote the songs together. Wells has scored three straight top ten Christian chart singles. Known reached #3 and it was also nominated for a Grammy. Wells is currently on tour opening for Chris Tomlin. His music sounds a lot like Ed Sheeran's brand of blue eyed soul so Reunion may want to try to cross him over to pop. But does Wells want to do that? Here's the video for Known by Tauren Wells.
