Danny Williamson is a British DJ known as LTJ Bukem. He is best known for the drum and bass style of ambient dance music. The 1995 single Horizons is probably his best known song. He was born Sept. 20, 1967 in Croydon, London, England. His nickname is from "Book 'em, Danno" from Hawaii Five-O. He played trumpet, piano and drums as a child. And he got into 70s jazz fusion like Lonnie Liston Smith as a teen. Giles Peterson inspired Williamson to get into DJ work and he started recording music on his own label in the early 90s. The 1995 single Horizons is probably his best known song. He only released it as a single so the best place to find it is on various artist comps like this 3CD comp from Ministry Of Sound. I'm not a big fan of this kind of music. But those who are into it believe that Williamson advanced this style of music in the 90s. He's been less active in recent years though he still does a lot of remix work. Here's a video of Horizons by LTJ Bukem.
