Here's the match video of Maryna Moroz vs Sabina Mazo from last night's UFC show in Philadelphia. Maryna has had a mixed run as a UFC Strawweight. But before the UFC she fought at Flyweight. Would that make a difference? Maryna is also training at American Top Team in Florida. Sabina is 22 years old from Columbia making her UFC debut. She is a former LFA champ and she trains at Kings MMA in Huntington Beach, CA. The betting odds favored Sabina. Even if you don't think highly of Maryna, she is still a big step up in competition level. Sabina broke her nose early in round one. It looked like it might have been an accidental clash of heads. I'm not sure how that affected her but she lacked aggression. Maryna won the first two rounds fairly easily. Sabina would need a finish. She is known for her head kicks. Of course Maryna was aware of this and she fought conservatively in round three. So Sabina won round three but she didn't get the finish she needed. I scored it 29-28 for Maryna and she won by unanimous decision. She seems like a better fighter at Flyweight. A ranked opponent might be in order for her. Enjoy the video!
