Big Bad Blog Video Theater-Ashley Yoder vs Syuri Kondo

Here's the match video of Ashley Yoder vs Syuri Kondo from last night's UFC show in Greenville, SC. Because Syuri is a kickboxer with no ground game, Ashley's route to win this fight was to take her down. And that's what she did. But Syuri defended well for the most part. She couldn't seem to get out from under and get the fight standing where Syuri is actually pretty good. When it became obvious that Ashley wasn't going to be able to finish by submission, her corner was yelling at her to switch to ground and pound. She preferred to play it safe and it became more of a lay and pray. I guess Ashley isn't too smart. I guess a win is a win. Maybe Syuri should sign with AEW and team up with her pal Hikaru Shida.
