Last night UFC president Dana White appeared on ESPN and announced several matches for UFC on ESPN 5 Aug. 3 at the Prudential Center in Newark, NJ. One of those matches was Antonina Shevchenko vs Lucie Pudilova at Flyweight. Of course Antonina is the older sister of UFC Flyweight Champion Valentina Shevchenko. Antonina is a kickboxer like her sister but she's nowhere near as good. She's 34 years. Her record is 7-1. She was on Dana White's Tuesday Night Contender Series. Including that her UFC record is 2-1. Last time out Antonina lost a split decision to Roxanne Modafferi. Based on that fight, Antonina needs to work on her takedown defense. Lucie is 25 years old from the Czech Republic. She was 2-2 in the UFC as a Bantamweight and she lost her Flyweight debut to Liz Carmouche. It was an awful fight. Neither fighter performed well. And after squeaking out a win, Liz got a title shot. Lucie hasn't looked good in any of her fights. So I am expecting three rounds of nothing. Also, Lauren Murphy vs Mara Romero Borella has been moved from UFC 242 to this show. So that is two crappy Flyweight bouts on this show. Three's a charm.Lucie Pudilova will fight Antonina Shevchenko at #UFConESPN5 in Newark, New Jersey. (Aug. 3, 2019). (per @espnmma) #UFC #UFCNewark #MMA #UFCESPN #WMMA pic.twitter.com/RXfTcSiShM

Welcome to Frank Pozen's Big Bad Blog. A lot of folks have been asking me to update them about my recovery. So I thought I would start a blog primarily to do that but also to talk about other topics of interest including the wrestling business and whatever else I can think of. I plan to update this on a regular basis so check back and leave a comment if you wish.
