Here's the fight video of Tabatha Ricci vs Angela Hill from last night's UFC show in Las Vegas. This fight is at Strawweight. Tabatha is 29 years old from Sao Paulo, Brazil and she trains at Paragon BJJ in Santa Barbara, CA. Her UFC record is 5-2. Angela is 39 years old. She trains at Alliance MMA in San Diego. Her UFC record is 12-13 and she's on a two fight winning streak. She's a kickboxer. I expected this fight to be close as neither does enough to win fights decisively. Both are midcard fighters popular for reasons other than fighting skills. This was a co-main event. But I thought Tabatha's strategy to clinch on the fence to tire Angela out did not make for an exciting fight. But it worked and Tabatha won the first two rounds. Angela probably won the third round but she needed a finish. So I scored the fight 29-28 for Tabatha and so did all three judges. It doesn't make me think that Tabatha can be a title contender.
