Here's the fight video of Sam Hughes vs Viktoria Dudakova from yesterday's UFC show in Abu Dhabi. This fight is at Strawweight. Sam is 32 years old from Everett, WA. She trains with Sayif Saud at Fortis MMA in Houston. She has improved since training there. But she still doesn't belong in the UFC. She got into the UFC as a short notice replacement in 2020 and her UFC record is 3-5. Viktoria is 25 years old from Russia. She's training in Spain these days. Like a lot of Russian female fighters I have seen over the years, she looks like a model. She got into the UFC via Contenders Series and won her first two UFC fights. So this fight should tell us if she belongs in the UFC. She starts out OK and won round one 10-9. But she got tired and Sam won rounds two and three. So I scored it 29-28 for Sam. The problem was a notoriously bad European judge scored the fight 30-27 for Viktoria. The other two judges scored it 29-28 for Sam. She won by split decision. Neither fighter belongs in the UFC.
