"Chance The Rapper" Bennett is mainly known for his mixtapes. The thing that is notable about him is gis use of gospel in his music. You don't hear that much in hip hop. The 2016 single No Problem is his biggest hit to date though he has appeared as a guest on some big hits. He was born Apr. 16, 1993 in Chicago. His parents are in politics. His father was in the Department of Labor during President Obama's first term. So he was planning a move to Washington. Instead he got into music and released his first mixtape in 2010. His parents listened to Billie Holiday and Sam Cooke among others and Bennett was influenced by Kanye West. Bennett records on his own label. His early mixtapes were critically acclaimed. And like I said, he appeared as a guest artist a lot, most notably on Kanye West's 2016 album The Life of Pablo. No Problem is from Bennett's 2016 mixtape Coloring Book. It was the first album to be streamed 50 million times. Most of the songs have guest artists. No Problem features rappers Lil Wayne and 2 Chainz. It was produced by the duo Brasstracks (Ivan Jackson, Conor Rayne). That's not an actual choir in the background. Bennett created that with multi tracking. Kirk Franklin's choir does appear on one track. Bennett performed on the 2017 Grammys and won three awards. Bennett continues to do mixtapes though he finally released an album The Big Day in 2019. That is his first recording to be released on CD. He's doing pretty good for a guy recording independently and using non traditional distribution. Here's the video for No Problem by Chance The Rapper featuring Lil Wayne and 2 Chainz.
