The Orange County Register reported today that Cynthia Calvillo vs Cortney Casey has been added to UFC 233 Jan. 26 at the Honda Center in Anaheim, CA. This fight is at Strawweight. Cynthia is 31 years old. She trains at Team Alpha Male in Sacramento, CA. Her record is 7-1. The good news is she beat Poliana Botelho a couple of weeks ago coming off of a drug suspension. The bad news is she didn't make weight. She said it was because she was having her period. But Cynthia needs to make weight this time or she may have to move up to Flyweight. Cortney is 31 years old from Hawaii. She trains with her husband Eduardo Sanchez. Her record is 8-6 and 4-5 in the UFC, And she is 1-2 in split decisions. I think she is at a certain level and she can't beat fighters who are ranked above her. And Cynthia will be favored in this fight.
