Here's the match video of Asuka and Naomi vs Mandy Rose and Sonya Deville from last night's episode of Smackdown. They are teasing Mandy and Sonya splitting up. This started when Sonya was named to the Smackdown Survivor Series team and Mandy wasn't. Mandy was on the team because of the Becky Lynch injury. The WWE likes to stretch these things out. The other notable characteristic of this match is the awful commentary featuring Corey Graves' ridiculous fawning over Mandy. He does the same thing for Alexa Bliss on RAW. Call the damn match and stop bickering. I know Vince McMahon tells Graves to say this junk. But I wonder if Graves knows how stupid he sounds. And I know he's not really stupid. Asuka tags in and takes charge of the match. To quote the legendary Ed Whelan, a "malfunction at the junction" lands Sonya in the Asuka Lock and the match is over. I expect this split angle to go on a little longer. They might not even break them up. Obviously the WWE thinks Mandy has star potential. She's an OK wrestler but we know why they like her.
